One of the most useful tools you can wield is a humble pen. The power of your pen can be formidable. A pen has the power to make friends or enemies and in times of stress and need, it can bring you hope and encouragement.
When faced with a problem, one of the best things you can do is to sit down with pen and paper to clarify the situation. Draw a line down the center of the page to make two columns, label one side Pro’s and the other side con’s. Now give a little thought to your problem, and list all the relevant facts you can think of under the appropriate heading.
When you have exhausted your lists, go back over each fact that you have listed. Ask yourself what you can do about each one. Make another list of all the possible actions that you could take. At this point, you may find it helpful to repeat the action and list more pro’s and cons against the possible solutions.
The more you repeat this exercise, the easier it will become. You’ll find that your subconscious mind will want to play along, and all manner of possible solutions will start to present themselves to you. If it’s possible, put your lists away for a while, and allow your subconscious more time work on your behalf. (under your pillow is always a good option, it allows the work to carry on without hindrance while you sleep). Sweet dreams
