The best way to banish your negative thoughts is to replace them with positive thoughts.

It’s hard to suddenly stop them completely, after all, they have become an ingrained habit. But with a little practise they can and will be replaced with more desirable positive thoughts. Visualization can play an important part in this practice, and help reinforce new habits.

When you become aware of a negative thought, you can listen and acknowledge it, but then tell yourself that the opposite is in fact the truth. You then need to divert your creative energy towards a more positive frame of mind.

Bring an image to mind of how the opposite thought would look and feel in reality. Imagine how good your life would be when the positive thought becomes a reality.

Each time the negative thought arises, replace it with the opposite. By doing this, you will in fact be creating another more positive habit, which will eventually replace the old one completely.

Your mind is an obedient creature, and if something is repeated often enough, it will accept it as true, and eventually you find that you are acting accordingly.

Try it, you will be pleasantly surprised at just how well it really works, and remember, the more you practise, the easier it becomes and the sooner your unwanted thoughts will be permanently replaced

  • Visualize Your Success

It’s been proven time and time again by sportsmen and women, that to visualize success by visualizing the successful outcome of the end game, helps to focus on and improve their performance.

No matter what your desires, you too, can take advantage of visualization to help bring about a successful conclusion.

Let’s suppose that your goal is to accomplish a long held dream. Maybe you’ve always yearned to do something creative, to paint, or to write, but you find that self defeating thoughts keep creeping in.

Ignore the silly self doubts, they mean nothing. Visualize instead, a picture of yourself engrossed in that activity. Feel the happiness within you as you become totally absorbed in the creativity. See the words flow effortlessly from your pen on to the paper, watch the colors flow from your brush to form a beautiful picture.

Whatever it is that you wish you could do, imagine yourself doing it. Feel yourself doing it. Where are you? Describe your surroundings. Feel the objects around you. What sounds can you hear? Music? Birds? Laughter? What are you wearing? What material? What colors? Use all of your senses to bring your picture to life.

You will find that the more you practice to visualize your success, the easier it becomes. Your images will become clearer and more realistic, they become so real and second nature, that eventually you will find that you are indeed achieving your dream, and your visualization will become reality.

  • Are You Confused?

Are you confused? Is your mind spinning round in circles? Do you feel as though you are suffering from information overload?

Unfortunately, this is all too common in the hectic fast paced world we find ourselves in today. Sometimes the pressure of trying to find an answer, of trying make the right decision can become almost unbearable.

As a result, confusion sets in, the mind feels as though it just cannot cope with any more options, and there is a danger of despondency setting in.

Eventually, the seventh crown chakra can become blocked. This chakra is situated at the very top of the head and is the gateway to inspiration, spirituality and mindfulness. It is the power house of our mind and thoughts.

Fortunately, with a little gentle visualization we can ease away the blockage of this chakra quite easily.

It will help to find a quiet comfortable place where you can visualize in peace. When you are ready, let your eyelids close fully over your eyes, and take a long, slow, deep breath…

Let your body relax… be aware of the gentle rhythm of your breathing…imagine now, at the very top of your head sits a beautiful lotus flower…it has many large white petals, tinged with a delicate shade of pink…as you continue to gently breath slowly in …and out…you become aware of those beautiful petals…one by one, they slowly unfurl… the petals fall away from the center..they resemble a hand holding an orb…from far above, rays of radiant white light fall into the center of the lotus flower…the rays flow gently down…allow the soft light flow into your mind…your mind becomes refreshed…you are calm, you are at peace…

When you choose to awaken, you will feel completely refreshed, your thoughts will be stilled, you will have peace, and clarity of mind.
