Inspiration, Meditation, Dedication, is the title of a charming little verse by Helen Steiner Rice. I think it makes for a lovely reminder to print out on to small cards and place them strategically around your home and office, and maybe slip one into your purse, pocket or wallet.
Inspiration, Meditation, Dedication
Brighten your day
And lighten your way,
Lessen your cares
With daily prayers,
Quiet your mind
And leave tension behind
And find inspiration
In “hushed meditation.”

It seems that almost daily that new events occur which can cause deep emotional upsets. Emotional upsets are among the greatest causes of stress which if left unchecked can lead to high blood pressure, and illness.
It’s essential for your health and well being, that you find ways to totally relax your mind, body and emotions.
There are many ways to help relaxation, but first and foremost your comfort is essential, some people find that a warm soothing, scented bath works best for them.
Try to make your immediate environment as peaceful as possible. You might like to place a candle at a safe distance nearby. As you look into the flame, imagine the rays of light reaching out to you and gently surrounding your body. Allow the rays of this healing light to comfort you, to soothe your mind and your body, to protect you from all harm.
If you can listen to a of beautiful piece music or sounds of nature, your experience will be greatly enhanced.
Always remember that you are a much loved child of the Universe, relax and let your heart and mind open to receive its love.

The words of ‘Each Day Brings a Chance to do Better’ is wonderful food for thought and contemplation by Helen Steiner Rice. I have written the words of her lovely inspirational verse for you below.
How often we wish for another chance
to make a fresh beginning,
A chance to blot out our mistakes
and change failure into winning –
And it does not take a special time
to make a brand-new start.
It only tales the deep desire
to try with all our heart
To live a little better
and to always be forgiving
And to add a little “sunshine”
to the world in which we’re living –
So never give up in despair
and think that you are through,
For there’s always a tomorrow
and a chance to start anew.

It’s hard to suddenly stop them completely, after all, they have become an ingrained habit. But with a little practise they can and will be replaced with more desirable positive thoughts. Visualization can play an important part in this practice, and help reinforce new habits.
When you become aware of a negative thought, you can listen and acknowledge it, but then tell yourself that the opposite is in fact the truth. You then need to divert your creative energy towards a more positive frame of mind.
Bring an image to mind of how the opposite thought would look and feel in reality. Imagine how good your life would be when the positive thought becomes a reality.
Each time the negative thought arises, replace it with the opposite. By doing this, you will in fact be creating another more positive habit, which will eventually replace the old one completely.
Your mind is an obedient creature, and if something is repeated often enough, it will accept it as true, and eventually you find that you are acting accordingly.
Try it, you will be pleasantly surprised at just how well it really works, and remember, the more you practise, the easier it becomes and the sooner your unwanted thoughts will be permanently replaced

It’s hard to see the way clear when all around you is in chaos, when your world seems to have collapsed before your very eyes, but believe me, there is always a way out.
If you are be prepared to listen, with faith and an open mind, your inner advisor will come to your rescue and show you the best way forward.
Take some time out to sit or lie quietly by yourself. Make yourself really comfortable and take a few long deep breaths.
As you breath in, imagine a you are immersed in a beautiful rose pink healing light . . . You are surrounded by warmth and love as the healing light surrounds, protects and comforts you.
As you breathe out, imagine all the fears, anger and frustration leave your body . . . Let go of all the tension.
Relax as you feel all the tension being replaced with the gentle healing light that surrounds you.
You are safe now . . Your inner advisor is standing close by . . . Soothing words are whispered into your soul . . . Relax . . . You are being assured that all is well . . . You will be shown the way.
Let yourself drift now into the future . . . See yourself free . . . You are safe and protected now. . . You are filled with loving protective energies.
When you awaken, you will feel refreshed, happy, and confident that all is well. Focus on your bright new future, keep the picture foremost in your mind, a new door is about to open you.

All our days are numbered but it’s not for us to know — just how many days are left. So don’t let this one go — unmarked by something good or lovely, something true or fine — something that redeems it with a touch of the divine.
Think a thought that lifts your mind on to a higher track. Do the thing that takes a load from someone else’s back . . . Say the word that changes conflict into harmony. Strike the note that turns the discord into melody.
Take this day out of its groove. Before you let it go — Give to it a meaning and a glory. Let it glow! There are many little ways in which it’s possible — to sanctify the commonplace and make it beautiful.

Turn your face to the sun and let the shadows fall behind. I believe this to be a quote by Helen Keller. What a wonderful example she set us all. To be so disadvantaged, yet so inspirational.
Helen Keller is a wonderful example of the power of our minds to overcome darkness and difficulties.
Put your dark thoughts to one side, look instead towards a bright future. Imagine yourself living your ideal life. . . relax . . . allow yourself to be transported into your ideal future, a future totally free from stress and strain, totally free of anxiety.
Don’t torment yourself with fearful negative thoughts, think instead of, love, peace and tranquility. Take a few deep breaths and relax . . . imagine yourself in beautiful calm surroundings. Picture the scenes, breathe in the atmosphere. . . listen carefully to the sounds, relax . . . feel the warmth of the sun as it enters your body. Rest assured, brighter happier times do lie ahead, and know that no matter what, the sun will always shine on you again.

A Healer’s Prayer
Master may I walk a little way in life
Along the path with you.
Share a little of the light of love.
When it comes into view.
From this light may I work and earn enough,
To bear a lamp for thee.
May I carry this lamp each day of my life,
A light for all to see.
And when I have earned my right to heal,
In the name of the God of love,
Make me always remember that what I do,
Is given from God above.
May I work in his name and give my life,
To serve as the Master Taught.
When my work is done may I find looking back
That I gave in life what I sought.

Happiness is … different things to different people, but to me, a quote by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer sums it up in a nutshell:
Don’t evaluate your life in terms of achievements, trivial or monumental, along the way. If you do, you will be destined to the frustration of always seeking out other destinations, and never allowing yourself actually to be fulfilled . . . Instead, wake up and appreciate everything you encounter along your path. Enjoy the flowers that are there for your pleasure. Tune into the sunrise, the little children, the laughter, the rain and the birds. Drink it all in . . . there is no way to happiness; happiness IS the way.

Have you ever felt like telling someone to zip it up, or put a sock in it? How often do you find that your happy optimistic mood is spoiled by the aura of a nearby bad tempered person?
It can be soul destroying and hurtful to have your happy mood shot down in flames this way. But there is a way out. It’s a simple matter of quickly employing a psychic shield.
One quick and easy method is to zip it up. Instead of telling the offending person to “zip it up” in response to their rants, you have the ability to prevent the unwanted intrusion by zipping up yourself.
To do this, imagine that your body has a large inbuilt zip running from your pubic bone up your body to to just underneath your chin. Now with your hands, pull up this imaginary zip. By doing this, you will be closing the entry points to your chakras preventing any harmful effects from reaching you.
This method can also be used to release any harmful effects of others moods that may have already reached you. Simply reverse the procedure and unzip form the throat downwards, thereby releasing any harmful effects.
Try it next time your sense of well being is threatened, you will be pleasantly surprised at its effectiveness.
