1 commentI’m sure you’ve all heard of the expression birds of a feather stick together’, but have you ever really thought about the significance?
It is true, not only literal birds of a feather, but every living soul is attracted and drawn to like minds. What has that to do with you?..everything.
Ask yourself, what do you want to become? What do you want to materialize in your life? Then think about your circle of influence, your immediate friends, colleagues and acquaintances. Are they a shining example of the person you wish to become? Or are they the complete opposite?
It figures therefore, that if ‘like attracts like, and ‘birds of a feather stick together’, we should be a little more circumspect when it comes to choosing who we wish to spend our time with.
You must be firm with yourself, and not encourage the company of the type of person that you do not wish to become. Seek out instead, people that you admire, that have the qualities that you wish to emulate. Expand your circle of influence to include people whom you genuinely admire and respect.
If you don’t have the good fortune to be personally acquainted with the type of person that you would like to emulate, why not turn to the web, or to books? Hone up on, an read everything you can about the lifestyle of that person and try to act and behave in a likewise manner to the best of your ability….Act as if you too, have the same qualities of the person that you wish to become.
